Stowe 4th Graders Love Technology!

We have been using apps such as Prezi, iMovie, Adobe Voice and Word Clouds to create our own presentations and share our ideas on various research topics. One group of students in the class is reading Esperanza Rising, so they have researched and created Prezis to teach the rest of the class about the Great Depression and Dust Bowl. They also created Word Clouds describing each of the main characters in the book.

We also use technology every day in our Math and Literacy stations. The students use Epic!, Accelerated Reader, Read Theory,  4^th Grade Reading Comprehension, Spelling City, Kids’ Vocab, Wordly Wise and Greek & Latin Roots during Literacy Stations. They use Big Brainz, Xtra Math, Sumdog, Sushi Monster, Math Zombies, Splash Math, Motion Math, Manic Math, Math Ninja and abcYa math games during Math Stations. We also love apps such as Brain Pop, Brain Pop Jr., Khan Academy and Stack the States.
