Creating Video Screencasts via ScreenCastify

ScreenCastify is a simple and free Google screencasting extension in which educators and students can record everything occurring on a desktop or Chrome window. After users have installed the ScreenCastify Chrome extension and granted it access, an icon will appear alongside a user's address bar in Chrome. Users can select to initiate a recording of the desktop, tab, or webcam feed. Users can select audio options to include a mic, as the mic is muted by default. The free service limits video content to 10 minutes. Videos can be trimmed after recording and shared in a Google Drive or YouTube channel.

ScreenCastify in Action: Educators are using ScreenCastify to provide feedback to students, flip classroom content, and provide the ability for students to submit a video reflection.

Digital Learning Platform: Students and teachers can share authentic tasks and products using a digital learning structure. Thinking is visible within ScreenCastify, leading to greater student achievement.
