Walker Creek 4th Grade GT Gets Puzzled with Google Classroom

Stephanie Simmons, Walker Creek Elementary Gifted & Talented Interventionist, worked with Toni Dowdy, Elementary Digital Learning Specialist, to create an engaging collaborative assignment for 4th grade GT students using Google Docs & Google Classroom. Her students were thrilled to have a place to work together. They have been adding to the document at home and at school. One student even remarked, “Now I won’t be bored at home!”.

The assignment is a “puzzlement” to get students asking questions.  Students watched this video:

Then shared their curiosities on the collaborative Google Document.  

Next they will explore to see if they can find answers to their curiosities and share their findings in the collaborative document.
