Lockheed Martin Engineer and Perot Truck Stops at Haltom Middle School

Haltom Middle School students in Nancy Miller Math classes were given the opportunity to take part in several different Perot Truck stations. "The Skimmer project was a project we did for our Math measurement unit- showing how precise measurements make a large impact on the functionality and accuracy of the skimmer. Students launched their skimmers using a rubber band to see whose model went the farthest down the hallway." Nancy continued to say "The stomp rocket was a hands-on extension from our engineer guest speaker, Mike Potts, who visited from Lockheed Martin to speak during Engineers Week. He shared his experience working in the engineering field and shared about what Lockheed Martin does as a leading engineer company."
