Creating Podcasts in GarageBand
GarageBand is a music creation studio app available on many BISD iPads that can be used to create podcasts. GarageBand includes digital instruments, presets for guitar, voice, and virtual session drummers. Educators and teachers enjoy using GarageBand as the interface is very user friendly, allowing it to be easy for anyone to learn, play, create, record, and share creations worldwide.
GarageBand in Action: Elementary GT students are using GarageBand to share their capstone research findings via a podcast with others. Students can record themselves sharing academic goals, reading a passage, telling a story, providing a public service announcement, or can use the app to practice their public speaking skills. Teachers can record listening passages for students, create a listening assessment, record chapter reviews, provide directions to small groups, or record directions of a test.
