Green Valley 1st Grade Investigate, Research, and Create About Biomes

First grade students are showcasing their research in a gallery display tonight at Green Valley Elementary after spending a few weeks investigating a biome. While visiting the zoo, students investigated biomes and targeted a research topic. Classes learned how to use keywords to search elementary online library resources. Students created an artifact using a medium of their choice and had the opportunity to utilize technology apps to include iMove, which teachers are placing on their YouTube channel.  Examples of projects on gallery display can be seen below.

Students were graded on project originality, written explanation, and organization of research findings and outcomes.
